Hope you are keeping well!
If you are in Doha slather some sunscreen-If you are in Nairobi-get extra sweater. Good!
Growing up, I had major insecurities about my body. I was very thin(I know you are thinking, how is this a problem). Well,at one time before I got pregnant with my son, someone I worked with walked up to me asking me to take a HIV test because of how thin I was. The nerve. Sadly,I sort of listened and became very self-conscious about showing my arms, showing my décolletage and my thighs.
The question isn’s who is going to let me, it’s who is going to stop me: Ayn Rand
Turning 31. Everything changed. I realized I only have one body. This one. Thanks to an improved appetite and a husband who loves to eat, I added a few kgs to my satisfaction and it seems God is on my side since its all going to my derrière ?
Along comes the talented Lyra and she says ; Put that dress on. And she even asked me to change my lippie to a bold red one.
This dress made me feel fearless. Bold. Female. Sultry. You-go-girl! All those things!
Being Fearless is one of the attributes I truly admire in the women all around me. Not afraid to fail, not afraid to try and try again, not afraid to admit that they do now know what to do and most of all, not afraid to learn.
Enjoy the shots Lyra took of me and shut your ears to voices that seek to lock away the woman you truly are.
Just like Cosmo: Fun. Fearless. Female.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
