I know it has been a while…..
I hope you’ve been keeping well. Awesome!
I remember growing up, my mum was uber stylish! It didn’t matter what day it was, this lady would bring it! From skirt suits with stockings to pant suits with a vintage hat, she would kill it everyday to work.
At some point, she would dress us in some velvet suits to church and we would cringe! Oh mum! How we love you!
Everyday is a fashion show and the world is your runway-CoCo Chanel
I love a well cut suit. I believe it is a wardrobe staple for all women. Some call it a power suit. I think a woman’s power is in her mind and in her ability to speak it with poise and candor and with a purpose to make the world around her a better place. Can I get an Amen!
Believe it or not, I only have one suit and I got this suit from a Cameroonian friend of mine called Sue for my 28th birthday and back then, it didn’t fit! Marriage can work a number on a weighing scale huh!
I rocked this suit for a job interview and paired it with a red handbag and red pumps. I got the job!
~Try it on. Do not buy it without fitting it because only then will you know how well your suit fits you. This is regardless of the digit or digits on the label.
Keep off from suits that fail the sit and hands up test. When you sit, does your butt crack show? You don’t want to be swinging in your chair with the people behind you dying of disgust. Can you lift up your hands without everything falling apart?
Your personality must come through so you can show this with a simple pearl necklace If you can walk in high heels go for it!
Here is how I styled my suit.
I would love to hear from you guys, so leave a comment below and let me know how you style a suit, or do you own one like me?
