I hope you enjoyed the month of love a.k.a February! I had a super month for which I thank God. For this post, I borrowed from Sharon Mundia of “This is Ess” Taking Stock Series. Enjoy!
Making: Plans to achieve everything on my Personal Development Plan. When the year started, I listed down the most important things that I would like to accomplish this year. You can watch my YouTube video for more about setting goals.
Cooking:More and more baby food. If you are new mom and you think pumping is hard work…try making purees and baby not liking it!
Drinking: More and more tea. In our house, tea is referred to as a charger. It is our feel good drink.
Reading: FERVENT by Priscilla Shirer. It’s a book on prayer strategy. This book has challenged me to focus on very strategic areas in my life that are prone to attack and to have a prayer strategy to handle the challenges that may come.
Wanting: To start building our dream home. I am obsessed. I am motivated. I am planning. I really want to live in my own home.
Looking: For someone to make me Ankara pencil skirts and skater dresses. Do you know someone?
Playing:This song so that my baby can eat.
Deciding: To start exercising so I can get back my flat stomach. The other day, someone asked me if I am still pregnant. I shrieked!!This was my turnaround moment.
Wishing:That I was on holiday. I would give anything to be roaming the streets of Bangkok with shopping bags and hurting feet.
Enjoying: Every minute of my chaotic life. From funny conversations with my mom, to laughing hysterically with my cousins; from staring at Taraji as she terrorizes Mr.Q, to watching Imani dive into a swimming pool. Life is good.
Waiting: Anxiously for Taraji’s first birthday. Go to my Pinterest. I promise you. I feel like there is not enough time to plan
my her birthday.
Liking:The wig I got from Make Up Cloud
Wondering:Why Arsenal would not just get rid of Arsene Wenger?
Pondering:Over my 2018 52 week savings challenge goals and the excitement of achieving this particular goal.
Considering:Drinking apple cider vinegar everyday because I read that it helps to burn fat, but I am torn since the unpasteurized one is not good for breastfeeding moms. Help!
Watching: Queer Eye on Netflix and cannot seem to decide who of FabFive I love most. I think Antonio or Jonathan. Karamo is so damn fine. (Pole babe, ni ukweli)
Hoping:To find a PhD scholarship in Aviation Management or Organization leadership and start in 2019. Dr. Quint has a nice ring to it.
Marveling:At God’s on time performance in my life. He has never been late. He is always on time for me. Anything I need, my Master will make sure that I have it.
Needing:8 hours of continuous sleep.
Smelling: Chicken Curry.
Wearing:Red Palazo pants, a top and a black leather jacket.
Following:My girl Kaisha Faiza a makeup srtised based in Nairobi, who has set up a new makeup studio which was always my dream….
Noticing:That the more I procrastinate working on my My Youtube Channel content, the more unsettled I am. I. Need. To. Get. It.Done. Please Subscribe.
Knowing:That All things work for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.
Thinking:Of new ways to show my husband love, I want to spice things up in our relationship. #relationshipgoals.
Sorting:My makeup. I used to be a freelance makeup artist and so I have lots of makeup. I just want to sort out my kit and then think what next.
Buying:An IPhone X very soon. Or maybe not! The only thing is that when I do quick math its about $1400 that’s about Ksh 140,000. The cost of 50kgs of cement is about Ksh 700. This would translate to 200 bags! So the way my bank is set up…..
Getting:Used to travelling with the baby. The older she gets the more active she gets. The number of people she waves at and the crew she talks to!
Bookmarking:This this devotional website.
Disliking:People who over-apologize for living their lives their way.
Opening:New a pack of Maltesers while writing this. I am on night shift and trying to stay awake.
Giggling:At the last text Mr.Q sent me.
Feeling:At peace with where I am, especially professionally. I am well placed to grow and get that paper!!
Snacking:On the Maltesers that I just opened.
Coveting:Some amazing follower figures on the social media profiles of some of my fav influencers. I just want to get to like 5k. I mean 5k engaged followers. So yeah, spread the word. I mean, if you are reading this and not following me, usiwe hivyo(Don’t be like that)…follow me on Instagram, Twitter.
Wishing: I was home. Not here in Doha, but in Nairobi. I here it’s raining now. I can imagine sipping on freshly made tea and watching Auntie Boss with my mum. By the way mum now has wi-fi in the house! The transformation! She watches my videos and is so supportive! Thanks mum!
Helping: My friend plan her wedding via Pinterest and Whatsapp.
Hearing:The sound of aircrafts as they take off.
I hope you enjoyed my first ever taking stock post. I am hoping to make it something that I can keep up with for the rest of the year!
I wish you health and wealth as you tackle this new month. May Grace and favour be your portion.
Spread some Joy!!!
Have not I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
